Our team of amazing industry leaders have decades of experience as both C-Suite leaders and Directors/Chairs. They will combine theory with practical experience.

Darren Rawson, P.Eng., ICD.D, GCB.D

Darren is a former executive with 17 years experience as CEO of mid-sized companies. His 30+ year career has spanned a variety of industries including upstream/downstream oil & gas, industrial chemicals, specialty metals, manufacturing, distribution, and construction along with 25 years international business experience.

He is an active Director and Chair currently serving on 6 boards.

Darren was the former Academic Director for the governance program in Executive Education at the University of Alberta.  He is Chair of the Edmonton chapter executive for the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD).

Jane Halford, FCA, ICD.D

Jane is driven to help organizations and leaders achieve their goals. By leveraging her experience as a board member, chartered accountant, regulator, entrepreneur, and her passion for leadership development, Jane brings a breadth of experience to individuals and teams she works with.

In her business, Halford Consulting Inc., Jane serves boards and CEOs to accelerate performance and improve the success of their incoming leader. She also speaks and teaches on governance, leadership, and executive transitions.

She is an active Director and Chair currently serving on 3 boards.

Jane is an instructor in the Directors Education Program (DEP) offered by the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) and has also instructed in the governance program in Executive Education at the University of Alberta. 

She is Past-Chair of the Edmonton chapter executive for the ICD.

Jacquelyn Colville, CPA(CA), ICD.D

Jackie is CFO at Midnight Sun Financial, a specialty financial services firm active in private investments, foreign exchange trading and innovative securities and derivatives.

Jackie has extensive experience in financial management, business leadership and directing strategy. Her prior leadership experiences include CFO of Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo) and of Champion Petfoods.

Jackie gives back to her community through her involvement with several not-for-profit boards and is active on private boards through Midnight Sun.

Mary Cameron, ICD.D

Mary is a former CEO and executive with experience in real estate, insurance, IT, and utilities. She was also a former Deputy Minister in two provinces.

Mary is a full-time Director and Chair, currently serving on 6 boards, and has made a long-term commitment to Habitat for Humanity currently serving as Chair of Habitat for Humanity International.  

Mary is an active instructor in the Directors Education Program (DEP) offered by the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD).  She also taught in the governance program in Executive Education at the University of Alberta.  She is a former member of the chapter executive for ICD in Edmonton.
